Happy Easter!

The kids found some colored hardboiled eggs some maniac hid around the yard.

Then, with egg farts, they propelled themselves to the pond for some fishing.

Some pics of the flooding on the road to our house. Note the little dark spot just to the right of middle of the first pic? That’s the top of one of the road signs on the road we usually take. We’ve been stuck going clear around the Heavener way for several days now.

And guess what happened on Good Friday? A new baby! Here she is just minutes after birth.

And a very ticked off billy goat because we stuck him in a separate pen for a bit.

Great pics (as usual). I take it that goats don’t have that “you touch it; you own it” rule going on that some animals have with the human odor? I seem to remember somewhere in my childhood being warned not to touch animal babies for fear that the parent would have nothing to do with them afterwards.
So, now you can milk this goat, too, right? I’d always thought that animals were milked by humans AFTER the calf/kid was done nursing, but noticed at Seven Trees that they started milking their cow right after the calf was born. Makes sense; supply/demand system, afterall. Would she let you do that yet, and have you set up a milking barn?
Too much activity for me to comprehend as we haven’t felt well enough to do much of anything for almost a month now. Just on the cusp of getting rid of our colds, it seems we got infected with ANOTHER cold. I think we nipped that one in the bud, though, with a product I learned about from No. 2’s roommate. ZICAM … taken at the very first sign. Em was even able to mow today.
Funny how life works, isn’t it? Now that I have rain-buckets to catch the rain it rains more than the buckets can hold. We didn’t have any flooding, though. We have sewers that suck small children down the drains, so it’s flash flood watch one minute and totally dried up the next.
Wow. I didn’t realize how much water y’all got. I added you to my blog roll
