Look at what we brought home today! Three goats (Nubian & Nubian/Boer cross) and five sheep (Barbados and/or American Blackbelly and/or whatever else found the opportunity in an available ancestor). Yum!

Are you gonna get into selling the fur and/or spinning the fur, or do you just see yourselves doing the milk/meat/free lawnmower thing?
I guess this means the fence is complete, right? If not, I’ll get out of the way real quick.
I can’t seem to get all my thoughts into one post today.
Does the old goat (NOT Em! … but your goat who almost hung himself once) get to commingle with these new additions?
Yep, the fence is done! (At least for now… Only the front portion is permanent. The rest is temp until we get the trailer out of here and some more grading done.
Hmm… Definitely doing the meat and milk/lawnmower and brushhog thing. I’m not into spinning myself but have been reading up on tanning hides, thinking I want to try it out one of these days. There are a gazillion things on my “I want to try it out one of these days” list so who knows when I’ll get around to it.
The old goat, Spock, turned up dead one morning long ago. And that’s a rant I don’t even want to get into.
More pics in a new post coming up now!
