My computer is dying–shuts itself down and it’s hard to get it restarted. I don’t know if it’s something that can be fixed or not so, if you guys don’t see me around for a while, you know why.
Update:
It seems to be doing better tonight. I tried a bunch of different things so [...]

If it ever stops raining…
Steve might be able to work on the house. I might be able to get some outside gardening done. The kids might be able to run off some energy. The dogs might quit smelling like…wet dogs.
In the meantime, I’m puttering around the greenhouse.

Got the hog all ground up. Besides the incredibly huge ribs plus the “special” cuts Steve wanted saved for BBQ, we put away 97 pounds of ground pork. Man, that was a lot of hog.
Oh! Our hens finally started laying eggs! Woo hoo!
Got gobs and gobs of Egyptian walking onions transplanted [...]

Busy, busy, busy…
We finally got around to cutting the hog into grinding-sized chunks. They’re in the freezer now to partially freeze for grinding tomorrow. We saved out the back strap, ribs (HUGE!), and some other favorite cut of Steve’s for BBQ. Everything else will be ground for sausage.
I’ve been looking for ginger [...]

Let the gardening begin!
So far, out in the greenhouse, I have going: parsley, sage, garlic chives splits (from thinning out the garlic chive patch), regular chives (my chive patch died out), sedum, scabiosa, petunias, some sort of mystery mix of flowers, poppies, various cacti and succulents, cleome, crepe myrtle, hosta, assorted brugsmansia, and cilantro. [...]
